Tussar Silk spelt with many names is also known as ‘Kosa Silk’ in Sanskrit. This silk is produced from the various species of the silkworm. The main reason, tussar silk is valued most is its rich textural appearance and the deep natural gold color. Due to shorter fibre, it has less durability. It is found in the area of India, China, Sri Lanka and Japan, also known as the forest product. The main important product created from this silk is the sari, whereas, it is also used for the furnishing fabrics and stitched products.
